My name is Jennifer Villalobos and I am a writer. Although I have written stories since I was a child, it has taken me a long time to own it. I somehow found it less embarrassing to come to terms with being a witch than to admit that I was a writer. I dabbled in some journalistic freelance writing many years ago (under a different name), but I was firm in my belief that I needed to have a “real” job as a single mom. I also needed insurance (you can’t get that by twitching your nose). My quest for a job with benefits led me to a soul crushing period at a call center, a fleeting stint at Costco, and a brief sojourn in radio. I went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in History (because I wanted to be marketable) and a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science. My current day job is managing a small library branch in Boise, Idaho.
Oh, and about the being a witch thing, it’s a long story. I’ve been a practicing witch for over 30 years. The rest, I’ll save for my memoir. 😉
Cheers and blessed be!
